Dinner with Panofsky is a project I've begun to relearn art history. I studied art history in undergrad and have longed to delve deeper into it ever since. Though, to be fair, I sort of eschewed it academically for a graduate degree in Gastronomy. Conveniently for me, they are both very similar. Gastronomy being the study and science of food and culture and art history being the historical and stylistic interpretation of objects—both disciplines take an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the most human-y things of the humanities: food and art.

If you're curious about the title of this blog and why I started it I discuss it in greater length in my inaugural post: What's a Panofsky?

Elsewhere, I and write about the intersection of my life and food on the now retired, Concrete Magnolia, and newly established, Hali Bey Ramdene. On a day-to-day basis, I'm the food editor of Kitchn.
